Boy Scouts & Cub Scouts

Boy Scout Troop 334 has an illustrious history of achievement and service to Cascade and has been sponsored by Cascade Christian Church since 1952. Troop 334 is led by Scout Master Zuke. They meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM in Centennial Hall.

Cub Scout Pack 3634 Cub Scouts is a program within the Boy Scouts of America that serves youth from 5 to 11 years old. The Cub Scouts program aims to prepare youth to grow into self-reliant and dependable adults. Meetings are on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM in Centennial Hall and are is led by Cub Master Aaron Stek.

AA & Al Anon

AA is a program of recovery for alcoholics. This group meets on Monday nights in our Coffee House at 8:00 PM.

Al-Anon is a program of recovery for people who are affected by another person’s drinking, whether it be friend or family.

Please check with the AA Central Office at grandrapidsaa.org/meetings for Wednesday and Thursday night meetings/locations for AA and Al/Anon.

Senior Exercise Class

This exercise group sponsored by Senior Neighbors is a low-impact program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness. The routines include gentle range-of-motion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level, standing or seated. All are invited to attend. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 PM.

Cascade Christian Church is a part of the faith-based community connection of local churches that help provide assistance with basic needs when families or individuals in the Ada, Alto, Bowne Center, Caledonia, Cascade, and Vergennes Townships are experiencing financial hardship.

A limited supply of walkers or other mobility items may be available for loan. By appointment only. For an appointment contact the church office at 616-949-1360.

Senior Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving Dinner is put together by volunteers at Cascade Christian Church and offered to those by invitation that are 75 years and older. The dinner usually takes place the week before Thanksgiving.

St. Robert's Unemployment Support Group

This is a support group for people who are unemployed and are looking for a structured approach to finding employment with personal coaching from volunteer leaders. If you are interested or would like more information, contact Bill Weitzel at weitzelwj@aol.com or 446-1873.

Pine Rest

Cascade Christian Church partners with Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. This service is available 24/7, is completely confidential and is free for your first 3 visits. Just mention that you are part of Cascade Christian Church CAP (Church Assistance Program) and you will meet with a Christian counselor. Teleconferencing is a great option for those who are able, and if this is not possible, other arrangements can be made.

Meals on Wheels

Volunteers from Cascade Christian Church, Ada Congregational, and Forest Hills Presbyterian Church deliver meals to seniors in the Grand Rapids area on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week.
