Cascade Christian Family - Cancellation Policy

If Forest Hills Schools close for the day, the church office, the church after school and evening events will automatically close/cancelled.
If classes at Forest Hills Schools are dismissed early due to weather/power, the church programs will automatically be cancelled and there will be no after school pick up for church classes.
If Forest Hills Schools cancel their evening programs all church programs, meetings and choir rehearsals will automatically be cancelled as well. (When the situation warrants, a staff member may override this policy, but he/she will bear sole responsibility for communicating this exception to all involved. Also remember that no child care will be available.)
In general, if the weather station posts a "Winter Storm Warning" for Kent County it is likely that activities will be cancelled. However, please check the church website, WOOD TV-8, or call the church office 949-1360 x104 for confirmation.
Communication of this policy will be accomplished thru the Cascadian, bulletin, VHS, Ministry Meetings, website, phone answering machine, and Wood TV-8.
In the event that we need to close for the day/and/or evening, the staff will be notified by a phone tree of such closing. If weather/power concerns develop during the day a decision will be made by 3:00 p.m. for that evenings programs/activities. Staff members are responsible for notifying volunteers in their respective areas of ministry.
In the event that worship services need to be cancelled due to weather/power concerns, please look to Wood TV-8 for updates.
If Forest Hills Schools has a 2-hour morning fog/ice delay, the morning programs of the church are cancelled. The closing of the church office will be determined by the nature of the delay. Please call the office to see if it is open.
